Ricciarelli
“Ricciarelli” (Almond Cookies)
Ricciarelli – these traditional cookies are a specialty of Siena, Italy. Soft, chewy, and delicious, Ricciarelli are a distant cousin of the French macaroon, prepared with almond flour, sugar, honey, egg whites and orange zest, served dusted with powdered sugar. Pair with espresso or dessert wine. Buon appetito!
