Panettone

You know it’s Natale in Italy when this Italian dessert floods every food store in the country! Tradition maintains that panettone was born in Milan and produced only at Christmas time due to a scarcity of wheat. Usually baked into a large mushroom shape, traditional panettone is a sweet bread made with raisins, citrus, almonds – although my personal favorite is made with chocolate. Buon appetito!
