Pane Carasau is a delicious (and somewhat addictive) traditional, thin, crispy flatbread from Sardinia, Italy. It is made from simple ingredients such as durum wheat, salt, yeast and water. The dough is rolled into thin circular large sheets and baked in a very hot oven where it puffs up like a balloon. The puffed bread is then sliced into two discs and returned to the oven for toasting. Buon appetito!
