Sansepolcro

Located in the heart of Tuscany, the town of Sansepolcro, formerly “Borgo San Sepolcro,” is best known as the birthplace of the Renaissance painter Piero della Francesca. In fact, it is home to two of the artist’s great masterpieces – the “Madonna of the Miserricordia,” and the “Resurrection.” Located within the city’s 16thcentury walls are a plethora of beautiful buildings, traditional restaurants, museums, historic churches, and characteristic shops. Buona visita!
