"The Lansdowne Madonna" by Leonardo da Vinci

The “Lansdowne Madonna” is one of two paintings vying to be recognized as the prime version of a painting known as the “Madonna of Yarnwinder” attributed to Leonardo da Vinci. The other is the “Buccleuch Madonna” in the Scottish National Gallery. The “Lansdowne Madonna” takes its name from its former 19th-century British owners, the Marquesses of Lansdowne and is currently on loan at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. Buona visione!
