"The Feast of the Gods" by Giovanni Bellini

One of my favorite paintings at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., this beautiful work groups together the Olympian gods for a bucolic feast involving some sexual mischief. Painted for the Duke of Ferrara’s “Alabaster Chamber” in 1514, it was later joined by four large mythological canvases by Titian. Buona visione!
