"Madonna and Child" by Alessandro Botticelli

Located in the Harvard Art Museums in Cambridge, MA, Botticelli’s “Madonna and Child” was painted in 1490 while the artist was at the peak of his career and at the head of one of Renaissance Florence’s most successful workshops. His painting depicts a stunningly beautiful Madonna holding an equally adorable Christ Child, set against an unusually Flemish backdrop. Buona visione!
