This tour will begin in the church of Santa Croce, the largest Franciscan church in the world. Most famous for its celebrity tombs, including the likes of Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli, this Gothic church also contains one of the most important Medieval fresco cycles by the great master Giotto and his followers.

This tour will then continue on to the great Dominican church and convent complex of Santa Maria Novella, which houses the first-ever-Renaissance-style painting called the Trinity by Masaccio, as well as an extraordinarily-enlightening-medieval fresco cycle in the celebrated Spanish Chapel.
