Join Dr. Rocky for this free webinar where we will visit the largest Franciscan church in the world – Santa Croce. The founder of this order, St. Francis of Assisi, changed the way people saw the world in the Middle Ages and his love and celebration of nature may have been the spark that ignited the Renaissance. We will discuss his importance, but also look at the extraordinary art and architecture of this great church. Most famous for its celebrity tombs, including those of Michelangelo, Galileo, and Machiavelli, the Gothic church also contains medieval frescoes by the great master Giotto.

The webinar will include a 45-minute lecture followed by 15-minutes of Q&A.
