Texas Round Up Bundle – Kimbell Art Museum and The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

Friday, March 14th at 2:00pm – 3:30pm

Join Dr. Rocky Ruggiero for an in-person lecture tour of the great Italian Renaissance masterpieces in the Kimbell Art Museum collection in Fort Worth, TX.

We shall examine works from the 14th through the 17th centuries by masters such as Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Titian, Duccio, Fra Angelico, Mantegna, and Bellini. Particular emphasis will be given to Caravaggio’s “Cardsharps” which is one of the few paintings in the United States by the great Baroque master; and Michelangelo’s “Torment of Saint Anthony,” which is the only easel painting by Michelangelo outside of Europe.
