LECTURE TOUR OF THE ITALIAN ART AT THE J. PAUL GETTY MUSEUM

Join Dr. Rocky Ruggiero for an in-depth analysis of the great Italian Renaissance art treasures in the J. Paul Getty Museum collection.

We shall examine works dating from the 14th through the 17th centuries by masters such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Parmigianino, Giambologna and Bernini.

Particular emphasis will be given to the exquisite Portrait of a Halberdier by Jacopo Pontormo, which was purchased by the Getty in 1989 for the considerable sum of $32.5 million dollars.
