Created in 1967 inside of the Bishop’s Palace in Prato, Italy, just a few kilometers west of Florence, the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo houses works of art from throughout the entire diocese of Prato. While there are several beautiful paintings by Fra Lippo and Filippino Lippi, and Sandr Botticelli, the real showstopper is the original reliefs from Donatello’s outdoor Prato Cathedral pulpit. Although these reliefs are not as celebrated as many others by Donatello, they are no less spectacular. Buona visita!
