Lecture Tour of the Verrocchio Exhibit at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. by Rocky Ruggiero, PhD
Join Rocky for an extraordinary lecture tour of the exhibit on Verrocchio at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., which is the first-ever monographic exhibition in the United States on Andrea del Verrocchio (c. 1435–1488), the innovative artist, painter, sculptor, and teacher whose students included Leonardo da Vinci, Pietro Perugino, and Sandro Botticelli. The exhibition examines the scope of Verrocchio’s remarkable artistry by bringing together 50 of his masterpieces in painting, sculpture, and drawing. The National Gallery of Art is the sole American venue for the exhibition.
