Join Dr. Rocky for an in-person lecture tour of the extraordinary sculpture collection at the Metropolitan Museum, 5th Ave. in New York City. Explore the sublime statues of the Greco-Roman world, the moving expressions of medieval sculpture, the harmonious works of the Renaissance, and then come full circle with Neoclassical sculpture at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. Special emphasis will be given to the controversial works attributed to Donatello and Michelangelo in the collection. Trace the evolution of western sculpture over centuries through one of the world’s most important collections.
