Pane di Venere

A simple and traditional Italian cake named after the goddess of love, Pane di Venere (“Bread of Venus”) is quite easy to prepare. A combination of flour, potato starch, eggs, butter, sugar, milk, vanilla, and yeast, the resulting cake can be served with a sprinkling of powdered sugar or with a ricotta-based cream. Buon appetito!
