Typical of the Liguria region of Italy, Lasagna al Pesto is a vegetarian dish prepared the same way as a traditional lasagna. However, instead of using meat and tomato sauce, Lasagna al Pesto is prepared using pesto sauce, béchamel sauce, Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino, and mozzarella cheese. A true Ligurian would also include diced potatoes and green beans.
