Located next to the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy, the Accademia Gallery is one of the city’s most popular museums. While it is best known as the home of Michelangelo’s “David,” it also contains five unfinished statues by Michelangelo (the “Slaves” and “St. Matthew”), as well as an amazing collection of paintings ranging from Gothic to Mannerist in style.
