Santa Maria del Carmine Church, Florence

While originally constructed in 1268 by a group of Carmelite friars from Pisa, a majority of the church of Santa Maria del Carmine in Florence, Italy, that we see today was reconstructed after the great fire of 1771. While a majority of the church is decorated in the late-Baroque/Rococo style, the Brancacci Chapel inside the church has retained its amazing collection of 15th-century frescoes by Masolino, Masaccio and Filippino Lippi. Buona visita!
