Noto Cathedral

The cathedral of Noto in Sicily was built in the 18th century and is dedicated to St. Nicholas of Bari. It is a celebrated example of Sicilian Baroque architecture and was constructed with local yellow limestone. While the spectacular façade of the church is original, its dome was reconstructed twice due to earthquake damage. Buona visita!
