Navigli (Milan)

Defined by the man-made interconnecting canals (“navigli”) that give it its name, the Navigli District of Milan is today known for its lively social and nightlife scene. While only two of the original navigli survive – “Naviglio Grande” and “Naviglio Pavese,” in the past, Milan was described as a landlocked Venice with an elaborate system of crisscrossing canals, most of which are now hidden under the paved roads. Buona visita!
