Museum of the Innocents, Florence

Housed in a 600-year-old orphanage, the Museum of the Innocents in Florence, Italy, opened in 2016. The museum not only tells the story of the Renaissance orphanage intended to host, care for, and educate abandoned children up to its closing in the 20th century, it also showcases Brunelleschi’s architecture and paintings by Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, and Della Robbia. Buona visita!
