Museum of the Cenacolo of Sant'Apollonia

Located right around the corner from the Museum of San Marco in Florence, Italy, the Museum of the Cenacolo of Sant’ Apollonia is one of Florence’s best kept secrets. It is located in the refectory of a former Benedictine nunnery and is home to Andrea del Castagno’s beautiful “Last Supper” fresco, which influenced Leonardo’s more celebrated later version. The museum also displays many of the sinopias pulled out from under the other frescoes in the room, as well as works by Paolo Schiavo and Neri di Cicci. Buona visita!
