Museum of Orsanmichele

The upper floors of the Church of Orsanmichele in Florence, Italy, house the museum of the church. Recently renovated and reopened to the public, the museum is open every day but Tuesday. It houses nearly all of the original sculptures from the exterior niches of the church, including Dontallo’s “St. Mark,” Ghiberti’s “St. John the Baptist” and “St. Matthew,” and Verrocchio’s “Doubting Thomas.” The Museum of Orsanmichele is one of Florence’s hidden treasures! Buona visita!
