Convent of San Marco, Florence

The Convent of San Marco in Florence, Italy, was the first-ever Renaissance style convent. Designed by Michelozzo, decorated by Fra Angelico, and entirely funded by Cosimo “the Elder” de’ Medici, Vasari described San Marco as the most beautiful convent in all of Italy. Buona visita!
