Castelsardo

The medieval town of Castelsardo is in northwest Sardinia and built on a promontory overlooking the sea. It is characterized by colorful houses, a 12th-century castle, and local artisan weaving traditions. Not surprisingly, Castelsardo ranks among “The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy” (I Borghi Più Belli d’Italia). Castelsardo was also famously featured as the backdrop for Prince Eric’s castle in Disney’s live-action movie “The Little Mermaid” (2023). Buona visita!
