FREE WEBINAR | “The Top 10 Chapels of the Italian Renaissance” with Dr. Rocky Ruggiero
January 21, 2025
1 hour
Located about 80km (50mi) southeast of Florence, the Tuscan town of Arezzo is best known for its gold jewelry. But there is much more to this city than jewelry. It is also home to one of the most important fresco cycles of the Renaissance – Piero della Francesca’s “Legend of the True Cross,” a beautiful medieval cathedral and church called Santa Maria della Pieve, a magnificent piazza called “Piazza Grande”, and a house museum dedicated to its most famous native son – Giorgio Vasari. Buona visita!
