Celebrated as the location of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous and now lost “Battle of Anghiari” mural, the medieval hill town of Anghiari is located just a few kilometers from Arezzo. It is listed as one of Italy’s most beautiful little towns (“Borghi Più Belli d’Italia”) and characterized by ancient walls, narrow roads and Renaissance piazzas.
