"The Last Supper" by Andrea del Castagno

Del Castagno’s fresco is one of the best-preserved and influential Renaissance Last Suppers. Located in the former refectory of a nunnery in Florence, Italy, called Sant ’Apollonia, the painting exhibits various traditional elements typical of the subject, but also numerous innovations. Although the nunnery was under clausura, the fresco still had a tremendous influence on later Last Suppers. Buona visione!
