Located in the Giuseppe Whitaker Museum on the island of Mozia, off the coast of Marsala Sicily, the “Youth of Mozia” is an ancient marble statue made of Parian marble dating back to the 5th century BCE. Discovered on the island of Mozia in 1979, the statue depicts a young male figure wearing a long, clinging, sheer chiton (tunic) in a pronounced contrapposto stance. Buona visione!
