"Lorenzo de’ Medici bust” by Verrocchio

Probably produced in the 16th century and copied from an earlier wax statue of Lorenzo de’ Medici, this painted terracotta bust is a startingly realistic representation. From the warm flesh tones, light beard, furrowed brow, long brown hair, prominent nose and detailed dress, it literally feels like you are looking into the eyes of “Il Magnifico” himself! Buona visione!
