"Capitoline Wolf"

The bronze sculpture depicting a she-wolf suckling the legendary founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus, takes its name from the Capitoline Hill. While the wolf was thought to be an Etruscan work from the 5th century BCE, the statues of the twin boys are a 15th-century addition. The statue has become the symbol of Rome and its glorious history and has been located in the Palazzo dei Conservatori (now part of the Capitoline Museums) since 1471. Buona visione!
