Friends of the Uffizi Gallery Fundraiser | LIVE Virtual Lecture “Raphael, Michelangelo and the Medici Collection”
Presented by Dr. Rocky Ruggiero
Join us for this extraordinary fundraising event for the restoration of the beautiful 16th-century “Neptune Fountain” in the Boboli Gardens, in Florence, Italy. Each year, nearly one million visitors admire this delightful expression of Mannerist sculpture, but the outdoor statue is now in dire need of restoration.
For this event, Dr. Rocky Ruggiero will provide an entertaining lecture about the masterpieces by Raphael and Michelangelo in the Uffizi Gallery and Pitti Palace collections. Particular emphasis will be given to Raphael’s exquisite paintings in honor of the 5th centennial of the artist’s death that we are celebrating this year. The webinar will include a 45-minute lecture followed by 15-minutes of Q&A.
Help us make a difference and preserve the artistic legacy of the Renaissance!
