“Jingle-Bell Art: Christmas Imagery in the Italian Art at The Met” by Rocky Ruggiero, Ph.D.

After sold-out lectures at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, the MFA in Boston and the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth TX, join Dr. Rocky Ruggiero for a 90 minute in-depth analysis of the great Italian Renaissance art treasures that celebrate the Christmas theme in the Metropolitan Museum of Art Fifth Avenue in New York City.

We shall examine works dating from the 14th through the 17th centuries by masters such as Botticelli, Giotto, Caravaggio, Tintoretto, Duccio, Fra Angelico and Fra Lippo Lippi.

What participants can expect:

  • To thoroughly understand the importance of the Italian art in the Metropolitan Museum of Art Fifth Avenue
  • To enjoy a “hands on” approach to the works of art
