In-person Lecture Tour of the Carpaccio Exhibit at the NGA in Washington, D.C.
Join Dr. Rocky for an in-person lecture tour of the extraordinary exhibition “Vittore Carpaccio: Master Storyteller of Renaissance Venice.” One of the principal painters of the Venetian Renaissance, Carpaccio was best known for his imaginative and colorful large-scale narrative paintings. But he was also a master of smaller decorative works, many of which are displayed side-by-side with larger paintings for the first time. With some 45 paintings and 30 drawings, this is the first retrospective of the artist outside of Italy.
