"Sculpture in the Age of Donatello: Renaissance Masterpieces from Florence Cathedral" by Timothy Verdon and Daniel M. Zolli

Through multiple scholars, this book examines the influence Donatello had on his peers as they created new sculptures for the facade of Santa Maria del Fiore, or the Duomo of Florence during the 1400s. Sculpture during the early Renaissance allowed for new humanistic ideas to be explored, with Donatello leading the way of innovation. This survey book offers essays by scholars as well as one of the Directors of the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo Firenze, as well as many large images of the works.
